Robert Schechter, Esq.

Robert A. Schechter is the Co-Chairman of the National Law Institute. Mr. Schechter is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of C.I. Eckstein & Company, LLC, a financial services holding company that owns an interest in three portfolio companies: Collateral Agents, LLC, which is a leading collateral and escrow agent for sub-$100,000,000 secured debt transactions; Conversion Agents, LLC, which acts as a conversion facilitator for convertible debenture transactions; and Edgar Agents, LLC, which provides EDGAR filing services, printing, typeset, xbrl, and press release for over 700 public companies. Edgar Agents is ranked as one of the top 10 most active EDGAR compliance service providers in the United States. Mr. Schechter is also the Chairman and controlling shareholder of Schechter & Hillo, PC, a boutique corporate law firm located in New York City. Prior to founding C.I. Eckstein, Mr. Schechter was a Partner and General Counsel of The Atlas Group of Companies, LLC and its wholly-owned subsidiaries, Atlas Capital Services, LLC, a FINRA Member Firm focused on M&A and Corporate Finance and Atlas Private Equity, LLC, the firm’s In-House Private Equity Group. From January 1998 to June 2000, Mr. Schechter was an associate at Yerushalmi & Associates, LLP, a New York law firm, with affiliate offices in Israel and Holland where he represented multinational corporations.  Mr. Schechter received his JD in 1997 from Hofstra University School of Law. Mr. Schechter graduated summa cum laude in 1994 from Brooklyn College and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
